Which nationalities do you accept?

Both Qataris and non-Qataris are invited to submit their CVs. Preference is likely to be given to Qatari citizens for most positions.

What type of jobs are on offer?

This recruitment program focuses on science and engineering positions, however jobs may also be available for those with other business and administration skills. You are welcome to submit your CV regardless of your field of study or experience.

Where are the job descriptions?

A list of vacancies and job descriptions is not available under this recruitment program. If QSTP or one of its member companies is interested in your CV, a job description may be provided to you at that point.

What qualifications do I need?

Preference will be given to candidates holding a university degree in a science or engineering discipline. Candidates holding lesser qualifications, or qualifications in other disciplines, may also be considered if they have a significant amount of relevant work experience.

What language skills do I need?

There are no minimum language requirements for you to submit your CV, however some positions may require specific language skills. You should state your language abilities in your CV.

Does my CV have to be in English?

It is preferred that you submit your CV in English.

What information do I need to submit?

You are only required to submit your CV/resume at this stage. Cover letters or other supporting documents are permitted but not required.

Which organisations will receive my CV?

Your CV will be made available to QSTP, the projects it is developing, and appropriate member companies, listed here.

Can I decide which companies receive my CV?

If you wish your CV to be sent to some QSTP member companies but not others, please state this in a cover letter.

I saw the ConocoPhillips-QSTP ad. Which should I send my CV to?

If you are only interested in working for ConocoPhillips at QSTP, send your CV directly to COPQatarRecruitment@conocophillips.com

What is the deadline?

Because this campaign covers recruitment by multiple organisations, there is not a single deadline date. Of course the sooner you submit your CV, the greater the chance that positions will still be open.

What happens to my CV after I submit it?

QSTP will receive and review your CV, decide which companies it is most appropriate for, and forward accordingly. Each company will conduct its own review and contact you directly if it wishes to proceed.

When will I get a response?

CVs will be reviewed on an on-going basis after they are submitted. If a company wishes to proceed with your CV, it will likely contact you within one month.

What if I don't get a response?

If you do not receive a response, you should assume that no company has chosen to proceed with your CV by that time. QSTP will retain your CV on file in case future opportunities arise.

What salary and benefits can I expect?

QSTP and its member companies operate their own individual policies regarding salaries and benefits.

How can I apply for jobs at Qatar Foundation?

This recruitment program does not cover jobs at Qatar Foundation or its centres (apart from QSTP). Qatar Foundation's employment information can be found here

When do the jobs start?

Some jobs at QSTP and its member companies start immediately. It is expected that more jobs will be created once QSTP's new buildings open in mid 2008.

Where are the jobs located?

QSTP and its member companies are at Education City, Doha.

I gave you my CV at the Qatar Career Fair. What happened?

CVs submitted to QSTP at the career fair were reviewed by QSTP. According to individual requests, CVs were also forwarded QSTP's member companies. If you did not receive a response, you should assume that neither QSTP nor its member companies chose to proceed with your CV.
